GEN Z CLASSROOM – SEASON 2: THE JOURNEY BUS - A JOURNEY OF CHOICES
Drug Prevention Education for a Safer Future
October 21, 2026 | 7:30 a.m - 9:30 a.m.This morning, teachers and students of Dong Da Secondary School joined the live broadcast of Gen Z Classroom – Season 2: A Journey of Choices, a legal education programme aimed at raising students’ awareness of drug-related risks and preventing drug-related offences.
Organised by Hanoi Police, the programme connected four locations across the capital: Hanoi Drug Addiction Treatment Facility No. 1, Da Phuc High School, Phan Dinh Phung High School, and Luong The Vinh High School. At Dong Da Secondary School, hundreds of students gathered in the schoolyard to watch the programme on a large LED screen, while others followed the broadcast in their classrooms alongside their teachers.
A DIFFERENT KIND OF CLASSROOMThe two-hour programme combined real-life stories, legal knowledge and interactive activities to help students understand the dangers of drugs, recognise risky situations and make responsible choices.
FOUR STAGES – ONE IMPORTANT MESSAGE
1. Let the Journey Begin Real-life scenarios illustrated the temptations associated with drugs and the serious consequences of drug use.
2. Youth Dialogue Personal stories from young people undergoing drug addiction treatment helped students understand the real-life impact of drug-related problems. Students also learned how to respond to peer pressure and report suspected drug-related activities through appropriate channels.
3. Understand the Law, Make the Right Choices Students learned about Vietnam’s Law on Drug Prevention and Control, gaining a better understanding of the importance of legal awareness and personal responsibility.
4. A Letter to My Future Self Through a reflective activity, students were encouraged to think about their hopes for the future and the choices they need to make today to achieve their goals.
The programme also highlighted reporting channels, including the HaNoi Smart Police app, helping students become more aware of their role in promoting public safety.
CHOOSING A HEALTHY, DRUG-FREE FUTUREFor the students of Dong Da Secondary School, the programme was a meaningful opportunity to learn beyond the classroom. It reinforced the message that every decision matters and that knowledge, self-discipline and the courage to say “NO” can help protect their future.
The programme delivered a clear message to students:“NEVER TRY DRUGS - NOT EVEN ONCE!”
